The Mayor of Barking & Dagenham with Arc's drama summer school

Drama Summer School 2007 success at Castle Green!

As part of the Barking & Dagenham Play Partnership, Arc's Make-a-Play-in-a-Week summer courses were once again cause for celebration with a visit from Councillor Fred Barnes, The Worshipful The Mayor of Barking & Dagenham, and his wife the Mayoress.

Held at Castle Green Centre in Dagenham, the first course culminated in an imaginative performance of 'Between the Lines' presented by 20 young people from the Borough aged from 8 to 15.  Led by Youth Theatre directors Andy Rogers and Natalie Smith, the group was excited to perform in front of The Mayor who said, "The youngsters really enjoyed performing to the audience and I had a great time watching them!"

The second week ended with an original performance of 'Castle Royal' performed in front of another audience of over 40 friends and family.
