Introducing Meet the Russells by Clifford Oliver - an interactive new play for Housing Association Resident Involvement events around the country

Created specially to support Resident Involvement initiatives, Meet the Russells is a dynamic, interactive theatre performance for Housing Associations and their tenants. Written by Clifford Oliver, this humourous and touching play tells the story of one family's involvement in their community, the issues and challenges they face and the opportunities for influencing and shaping their homes, neighbourhoods and communities.

Meet the Russells uses the well known TV situation comedy genre, but in this case, as well as enjoying the performance, the audience also gets to interact and talk with members of the family as they explore their situations and options.

The performance is easily accommodated in a variety of settings as a stimulus for lively discussion and sharing of ideas.  The play encourages people to involve themselves in working closely with their landlords on developing their homes and communities.

If you are a Housing Association planning resident conferences or events, you might like to feature a performance of the play as part of your programme.  The running time is one hour, with a 15 minute scripted opening scene followed by interactive Forum theatre in which the audience determines the outcome of the piece through advising the characters. The fee for a performance is £1800 plus VAT.

If you would like to talk about booking a performance of Meet the Russells, please contact Arc's Artistic Director Carole Pluckrose on 020 8594 1095 or email carole@arctheatre.com. Below is a pdf flyer with more details about the play and a recent testimonial from Lorna Blackmore - Assistant Director of Corporate Services at Broadland Housing Association.
