Barking & Dagenham Community Players present The Marvel of Muddy End by Clifford Oliver, directed by Carole Pluckrose
Barking and Dagenham-based theatre company Arc, follows the success of last year's Community Play with a brand new production; The Marvel of Muddy End written by Clifford Oliver, directed by Carole Pluckrose and performed by the Barking & Dagenham Community Players.
The villagers of Muddy End make their living from the mud hauled up from the riverbank. It's a hard life, but theirs is a strong community and everyone's happy just the way things are - the way they've always been. But things are about to change when the land is purchased by the dastardly new developers who plan to build new housing for their factory workers. Suddenly the whole Muddy End way of life is under threat! The mysterious Marvel appears and starts to put the evil plan into action.... but who will win? The developers or the villagers? And who on earth is the Marvel?!"
