Welcome to Arc

For 25 years Arc Theatre has specialised in creating and performing theatre that challenges assumptions and causes real change in the way that people relate to one another at work, at school and in the community. As a pioneering organisation we were instrumental in bringing the issue of racism in football to the forefront of public awareness.

The organisations that we work with are those that seek to move forward and achieve a lasting difference, whether it be in the field of diversity, inclusion, education, health, criminal justice or community cohesion.

We are expert in a range of learning strategies including theatre, storytelling, drama workshops and interactive Forum theatre. The success of our work is underpinned by first-class facilitation and meticulous research and preparation. Our facilitators, performers, storytellers and workshop leaders are trained to the highest standards and bring passion, energy and commitment to this work.

Testimonials

"... your drama, your theatre, is theatre for change... It is truly inspirational work, coming from the community and working directly with the community.  It sets up the meaningful dialogue we desperately need if yet more young people are not lost to us.”
The Attorney General, The Rt Hon The Baroness Scotland QC

"I was privileged to be in the audience last evening and to experience such a powerful drama, performed by four compelling young men. I really hope that engaging with our young people at risk through such drama, complemented by the standing up of good role models, in homes, wider families, and the community, will see a way out of the descending spiral of senseless activity, violence and killing."
Robin Field-Smith MBE, HM Inspector of Constabulary (Personnel, Training & Diversity), HM Inspectorate of Constabulary

"I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Arc Theatre. Throughout the course of the last few months that have included 14 days in Primary schools and 9 in Secondary, I have been struck by the professionalism, commitment and good will that you and your staff have offered every aspect of your work.

We count over 2,500 students to have been engaged in the programme. A high number, and one that means a whole lot when considering the quality of the engagement.

I have also thoroughly enjoyed working with you and trusted your approach throughout... I hope we have the opportunity to work together again."

George Middleton, Community Relations Executive for a major new London Health and Safety programme for schools

“ ...' I found Arc Theatre very sharp and professional and better than any previous performing arts organisations that have delivered workshops in the school' ... and so the praise continues. My role as an Extended Schools Coordinator is made easier and very satisfying when working with an organisation who delivers 'exactly what it says on the tin'. Keep up your superb work and I look forward to working with you and your team many more times in the near future."

Junior Taylor, Extended Schools Coordinator, HECRA (Heston & Cranford
